Puffins Drawing - Bite of Iceland - Iceland travel blog

Welcome to our Iceland travel blog! With Bite of Iceland every week you will experience a new, amazing adventure! Every Sunday we will guide you on a new, thrilling trail and reveal one of the thousands of secrets which this island keeps.

Together we will take a glance into dark souls of Vikings descendants, we will make an appointment with some proud glaciers and even prouder icebergs, we will cross unpredictable rivers, try to find wild herds of reindeer and follow a trail of a bird symbol of Iceland, sea parrot called puffin. Moreover, we will let you know how to dress appropriately in this usually crazy, capricious weather, so as not to freeze or soak completely. We will tell you how to survive the worst snowstorm ever and how to behave when you encounter crazy wind which in Iceland can very easily move whatever it wants to. And we will also give you some advice what you should try to eat and drink on this incredible island to boldly call yourself a hero.

Our Iceland travel blog will show you how to save your best, Icelandic memories in pictures. You will find out that there is a way to hunt even the fastest northern lights and to catch terrific beasts from the seabed. We will give you lots of tips on capturing wild beauty of Iceland in photographs. You will find really a lot of otherworldly landscapes here! Apart from that, there will be many fairy-tale style drawings inspired by Iceland, like the one above. So very, very soon you will get to know new tastes, mysteries and stories just from the heart of this arctic island. You will find out what Iceland is really like and we can tell you that you will fall in love immediately! Come on, bite into Iceland with us!

Hello! I love your website and one of my dreams is to go to Iceland too. But my mind is full of questions. If I may… did you lived there and worked? Rented a house? how did you finance to live 18 months in Iceland? I’m just curious, because I would like to do the same. I hope my questions won’t bother you.

Hello Diana! Thank you for your kind words! 🙂 Iceland is really expensive – that’s true. We wouldn’t manage to spend there a year and a half without a job. We worked at a hotel reception and did a little of freelance work (graphic design).
